The Sculpting of Barbra Streisand Head

This is still in the beginning stages. I had to scale it down, it was too big for a Tonner body.

Keep stopping back daily to see the progress of this sculpt.

The top of the head still is going to need more clay on top to make it taller.

This side of the face is starting to get more detailed...........

Still needs alot of work!

The other side of the face.....not as detailed yet as the other side.

Stop by daily, I would think more so in the evening, that's when I will post newer pics.

DAY 2

You will see, that I did a lot of rearranging around of the face. I put it in better proportion.

I cut the nose off, and attached it higher on the face. and then I slimmed it down to fit her face better. And I redid her lips.

Now, this is a sculpt, but also she has to be a doll. So I made sure she is in the right scale of Tonner heads so she will fit on the Tonner body perfect.

As you can see in the picture, both head are the same size.

Tomorrow I will get into more detail. I have to lower the ears abit, and put detail into them. And smooth all over. There still is a few days to go before she will be done. Also, she is a doll, so I cant get into too much detail. Remember, painting will get the final stage of extreme fine detail.

I still need to move her ears down and a little more towards her face. But other than that, she is done.   I slimmed her face, gave her cheekbones, added her facial structure, face muscles, ect....slimmed down her nose some more.

She will be going to be made into a mold, and copies made. She will be made into resin, color will be matched to the original Tonner head.

Final adjustments on the ears tomorrow, and will post pics. Then the head, being polymer clay, will be baked. Then shipped off to be made into many heads. I still haven't decided yet how many will be made, but will post all the info on that in the next few weeks.
